Adaptation to climate change
The ACCC programme is designed to address climate change issues through the implementation of on-the-ground measures to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities against possible impadcts and to develop relevant national legal and policy relevant measures. The partner countries are located in the same eco-climatic area: Cape Verde, the Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Mauritania and Senegal along the coast of West Africa. Regional training activities, scientific guidance, monitoring and evaluation are implemented by a regional unit located in Dakar, Regional Office of the UNESCO-COI.
